Item Ledger Entry Type

Entry flow between inventory and G/L

This field contains the type of transaction of the item ledger entry that caused this value entry.
The options are Purchase, Sale, Positive Adjmt., Negative Adjmt., Consumption and Output
(if the entry is caused by movements in manufacturing inventory) and Transfer for transfers between locations.
If the field is blank, it means that this value entry is not related to an item ledger entry.
The program fills in the field based on the following principles:
If the entry was posted from an item journal line, the entry type is copied from the Entry Type field on a item journal line.
If the entry was posted from a sales order, invoice, return order or credit memo, the entry type is Sales.
If the entry was posted from a purchase order, invoice, return order or credit memo, the entry type is Purchase.
If the entry was posted from a transfer order, the entry type is Transfer.
If the value entry is the result of a movement to or from WIP inventory, then the entry type is Consumption or Output.
