In the preceding
web.xml deployment descriptor file, the <servlet> XML element declares the HelloServlet, the examples.Hello Java class implements the servlet, and the <servlet-mapping> XML element specifies the/hello URL pattern that invokes the servlet in a browser. This URL pattern is used in the index.html file.
